Dr. Alyaa Al Mughairy

Dr. Alyaa Al Mughairy is a Consultant Pediatrics Hematologist Oncologist at The Royal Hospital in Muscat. Following her Specialty residency at the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB), she completed a fellowship in pediatrics Hematology Oncology at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto, with a focus on classical & malignant hematology in addition to bleeding and thrombosis.

A clinical leader and scholar, Dr. Al Mughairy has been instrumental in advancing therapies for pediatrics, acute leukemia, hemophilia, thrombosis, Sickle cell disease and HLH, significantly improving patient outcomes in Oman. She serves as the national focal point for pediatric hematology/oncology policy and has authored multiple national clinical guidelines.

Beyond her clinical practice, she is a dedicated educator and patient advocate, known for spearheading sepsis and quality improvement initiatives. An active academic, who frequently shares her research and clinical expertise at regional and international conferences to advance the standards of pediatric care.
